Realme Pad Android 12 update to be rolled out in Q3 2022

Realme Pad was unveiled in September 2021. During the launch, the tablet came with Android 11 out of the box. At that time, there was no information from the company about the future updates for the Realme Pad. 

Adding to that, on a company forum, a Realme representative remarked that the tablet would not be getting any future Android updates. Instead, it was posted on the forum that the device would be getting only the security and performance updates. 

In an interesting turn of events, the company has now came up with an official announcement through twitter that Realme Pad would be getting the Android 12 update in the third quarter of 2022.

The announcement has been tweeted by Madhav Sheth, who is the CEO of Realme India and VP of Realme. The tweet also has a link to the Realme Community forum post.

The Realme Pad will get various new features with the Android 12 update. According to Realme, the Andorid 12 update for its devices will have features like enhanced lock screen, dedicated one handed mode, improved widgets and enhanced notifications UI among others. 

In addition to the upcoming Android 12 update, Realme would also be providing upto three years of Security updates to the Realme Pad. With the announcement of Android 12 update for the Realme Pad, the tablet has become a value buy.
